Aaron graduated from the University of Utah um...2 years ago? Tristan is 7 and in 2nd grade. Olivia is 5 now, if you don't remember this don't worry she'll remind you that she's 5 now, and in ALL DAY Kindergarten. Maddison is going on 10 months.

We haven't had much happen in a while but it seems this last year has been emotionally hard. We decided to have another baby at the beginning of last year and were expecting November of 2014. I had always said that once we had number 3 I would quit my job. In June we put our house up for sale and it sold in a week. The night before everything was to go through I texted my realtor and told her we couldn't go through with it. We couldn't sell our house. I had a sick feeling about selling and I've had further confirmation that we are to stay put for a while. Fortunately we were able to back out and are still in our home. I quit my job at the end of August. Aaron started a new job in September which he is now losing.
So we are both freaking out in our own ways. I'm a lot more vocal than he is so my freaking out is a lot more obvious. I've called my sister in tears and asked her if I could come over and help her pack as she is getting ready to move into her new house. I found out that as long as I keep myself busy my freaking out subsides quite a bit, especially when I am focusing on others and helping them. I have also come to realize how blessed I really am. I live close enough to my kids school that we walk together every morning and they can walk home with friends after. My family is all well and healthy. My kids love rice. We've cut back on a lot which I have noticed is harder on the parents than the kids. I mean my kids love rice, they would eat it every day. Plain old rice with butter. Lucky for us right now rice is cheap and it goes a long way. I on the other hand am going nuts. We have been eating left over pork from my sister's wedding reception. Pork. Every. Single. Day. for about the last 2 weeks. I'm close to gagging. I love food and I love a variety of food so the same thing every day is wearing on me. But I know that it won't last. My husband will find another job and we'll be ok.
I have also been trying to exercise my faith in my Heavenly Father that everything will work out. I have been reading the Book of Mormon a lot more and praying several times a day pleading for answers. I have found that my clarity in reading my scriptures has increased, I mean it was pretty much nonexistent. I would read but not really process what I was reading. I have found a love for the scriptures that I thought I already had. It's awesome. I am reading my favorite series, Tennis Shoes Among the Nephites, and I find myself debating on reading another chapter in the scriptures or my book. I've never had that desire before and I love it. My faith still wavers from day to day. Some days I feel very optimistic, the days Aaron has an interview, but completely down on others. It's a roller coaster of emotions for sure. I mean I'm pretty much in the front seat on my own roller coaster but this one has thrown twists and turns that I can't see the end of. Our Bishop spoke on Sunday and I really took to heart a part that he shared. He said that when we feel like we've reached the end of our rope we need to realize that there is an end to that rope. It doesn't last, our ropes have an end. Our suffering has an end. My roller coaster ride will end.
Aaron is still searching for a job, he has an interview today actually. I know that it won't last and we will be ok but I am grateful for the experiences that I am having. I'm noticing the little ways blessings have been showing up. Vegetables from a neighbors garden. A box of diapers, wipes and a can of formula from my sister. Texts from friends with job links. Prayers in our behalf. Serving others to help me forget myself, but in a good way. Even though I am going through something tough right now doesn't mean I can't help others. We all go through tough things but I know that we are being put through the refiners fire and we will come out stronger and more beautiful in the end.

Much love,

This is probably one of my most favorite things in this world. I have been without it for a while because we can't find any stores that sell it other than the Commissary on military bases. I loved this stuff so much my mom would mail it to me while I was in school in Idaho. I finally ran out of the stash she had sent me and have been missing it for several months. Well my family took a trip to Hill Air Force Base and my mom bought me the biggest bottle she could find. I pretty much hugged the bottle when she gave it to me. Crazy I know but I love this seasoning! Thanks Mom!

Tristan loves this little green guy. He's a slow sign that a family has in their front yard and Tristan always says "look there's Astro Boy!" I don't know why he calls him that, maybe it's the red hat.

We ended up spending Olivia's actual birthday at Lagoon for Sharon's work Lagoon day. Lagoon was also celebrating their birthday as well so we had to get a picture under a huge Happy Birthday sign. It was a fun day and it ended with Olivia and Tristan falling asleep as Aaron and I held them on inner tubes in the lazy river.

My dad and I were the only one's left in the end. We are officially done. I have noticed a difference in my physic (?) but I must say that I am very happy to be done with it. It was, to not be cliche, insane. It is nice to sleep in again and not be so exhausted. I am taking a week off and then will resume other workouts of my choosing.
Our family is doing well. Tristan and Livvy are both back to sleeping through the night on a more consistent basis. They both love to be outside and playing and love the water. We have them signed up to take swimming lessons this summer so we will see how that goes. I am very excited as we are making it a family thing and are doing the "Mommy and Me" classes. I will be with Livvy and Aaron will be with Tristan.
We have been trying to attack our yard this summer and so far we have transplanted a few things and planted tomato plants and strawberries. We have seen some tomatoes starting and honestly I couldn't tell you exactly where my strawberry plants were even planted. We finally have aquired a weed whacker so that is helping our back yard to not look so scary. We look forward to getting our yard even managable right now it is in the "taming" stage. I did have more but I couldn't get them off my phone. For those who care I have finally gotten down to 142 and I am still working out about 4-6 days a week. It is hard but I am really loving working out, it really helps keep me happy through-out the day (mostly). We are all doing good and trying our best to stay well, Olivia did have another ear infection, but nothing else beyond that. I am wondering if I can handle another summer without air conditioning but I think we will do ok. We are planning on spending a lot of our time at Classic in their water park. Enjoy the pictures!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05232875790064622221noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3394509239672594935.post-16686806529116309902011-03-15T20:18:00.000-07:002011-03-15T20:45:16.002-07:00
Nate and Olivia at the bowling alley. I am not doing pictures at this time but they will be coming later, after kids are asleep or being entertained by Aaron. So far within the last 2 months we have been sick with...a double ear infection and RSV(Olivia), croup(Tristan), pink eye(Olivia and Tristan), swine flu (everyone), swine flu again(Tristan), double ear infection and RSV again(Olivia). Needless to say that we are very tired, bored with being home, and poorer than even after Christmas after all that. I think that we have maxed out in every way possible and are hoping to very much be done with being sick. We spent our anniversary and new years in the Dr.'s office with Olivia and with Aaron in bed with swine flu as well. Yeah. We've only been to church once together since the new year. Great start huh? I do promise pictures. I have officially given myself a mission to get pictures up here of the latest things we are up to. To update on my working out. I have been working out for the last 3 weeks doing at least 3 days a week and no change. I do think I have lost 3 pounds but don't know for sure because I never really did all my measurements before I started. But I am now 144 and my waist is 37 1/2 in. and it should be (according to the Dr.'s trick) about 31 in. So I am hoping that if I get my diet in check then I should be able to loose a little more. We shall see. My goal is to be at 31 in. by the time we got to Bear Lake in July so I have 25 weeks to get it done. Roughly about 6 months. That's a lot of time I hope I can do it!
I am very excited about Aaron and Tristan's birthdays coming up and hope everything goes well. We shall see and I WILL post pictures!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05232875790064622221noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3394509239672594935.post-16520913113790912412011-01-24T22:07:00.000-08:002011-01-24T22:14:41.309-08:00So..... Happy New Year!I know it's a bit late but it's still January and so I can still say Happy New Year. So far we have all been sick with Swine Flu over our anniversary and new years. We are all better but Olivia is still hanging onto that darn cough. Not much planned by way of goals this year. Basically the same as always just to them better or more often. I am doing great at my working out goal so far and I really hope to keep it up because I feel great after working out all last week. I guess I figure if I have someone to answer to then I will do better so I will keep you updated wether you all care or not. I worked out 4 times last week and I was really feeling the strain but it felt great and I can actually feel it in my abs, which c'mon we all want great abs right? So I am using my sore abs as my motivation for going week to week on working out because if they are sore then that means they are getting worked. I am pretty excited about it. We've also been rearranging the house a little, changed up some stuff in the basement and it's nice and roomy now. Aaron is getting back into school this summer hopefully to be on his way to his Bachelors. So I think that is all for now and we will see you all next month.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05232875790064622221noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3394509239672594935.post-86111114084663826922010-11-27T16:01:00.001-08:002010-11-27T16:08:11.676-08:00Too Quiet! So the kids spent the night at Grandma Sharon's last night and I could not fall asleep! It was so quiet and wierd and I didn't get to sleep until after 3 AM because I woke Aaron up and then he couldn't go back to sleep and then he went out and watched TV so I was finally able to fall asleep since I heard the TV going. I missed them both so much but they had an awesome time at Grandma's and playing with cousins.
We are in the process of getting Christmas stuff up and realized that we have no outlets on the outside of our house so that means no lights on the house this year. I was pretty bummed since I had some icicle lights that I've been hanging onto for a few years and I was hoping to finally be able to use them this year. Oh well it's just another project that has been added to the "to do" list.
I also realized that the last three Thanksgivings in the Esau family someone has been pregnant. Shannen was pregnant 2 years ago and I was last year and Rachel is pregnant this year so I am just wondering, is this going to be continued next year? I guess we'll have to just wait and see, no pressure though.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05232875790064622221noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3394509239672594935.post-41600013780106910052010-11-21T22:33:00.000-08:002010-11-21T22:38:43.651-08:00
This was taken a week before we had Olivia, as you can see the house was not ready yet. We had the carpet installed and all of our stuff moved into our house the day before I had her. This is of me standing by the front window in the living room. Everything looks so nice now and we were able to move in a week after Olivia was born.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05232875790064622221noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3394509239672594935.post-35378798556390885972010-11-21T22:30:00.000-08:002010-11-21T22:33:21.148-08:00
Mommy and Olivia. I was pretty freaked out but he ended up being fine. But I must also point out that the band-aid on his head was from less than a week before when he fell and cracked his head open so the band-aid is covering up his stitches. I was like 2 weeks away from delivering Olivia so needless to say he was really making me an emotional mess.
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05232875790064622221noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3394509239672594935.post-28680321248612652992010-11-21T22:02:00.001-08:002010-11-21T22:15:09.835-08:00Hello everyone. I am VERY new to this blogging business but I hope to get the hang of it. This has been a very busy year for our family. We had baby number 2, Olivia Nicole, and finally were able to buy a house! A lot of work was done on our house before we could move in but thank Heaven's for family, namely my uncle Brett and all the people he knows. We are pretty much settled and are enjoying our very own home. We still have some fixing up and finishing to do but we are good for right now. We are learning that work is never done when it comes to taking care of your home. But we do know that it is worth it. We love living so close to grandparents and family that we couldn't have asked for a more perfect home. We live about 3 blocks away from my grandparents and about 6 or 7 away from my parents and are about 10 minutes from Aaron's mom and his grandma. I know it sounds like an in-laws nightmare but it's actually really nice.
Olivia has brought such a sweet spirit into our home, as all babies do, and everyone just loves her, especially Tristan. She is adorable and is an awesome baby. She started sleeping through the night on her own at 2 months and that has made mom VERY happy. Tristan is almost 3 and is talking more than ever. He is really observant of peoples emotions and likes to point out whenever we are happy, sad or mad. He is so funny and so full of energy and is quite the daredevil. I don't think anything scares him.
Aaron and Nicole are still just Aaron and Nicole, nothing to update there except that thank goodness Aaron's beard was finally shaved off the night before we had Olivia.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05232875790064622221noreply@blogger.com0
